After this week of intense energies, awful tragedies & uncertainty throughout the world, it is also a time of great self-healing & I felt compelled to discuss it with you all. The atrocious conflicts in Syria & in many places throughout the world; the biggest mass shooting in Orlando, America & closer to home, the cold blooded murder of an MP doing her job. What is going on? Why? Such seemingly unexplainable events, I truly believe if we all come together, we can make the world a safer, happier & more peaceful place.
In response to the Orlando shootings so many people, communities & religious faiths have shown their support & solidarity with the LGBT communities throughout the world. One story I read from America, as soon as their celebrations of the festival of Shavuot ended, a group of Orthodox Jews travelled from their synagogue in Northwest Washington to a gay bar as an act of solidarity. The manager turned off the music, they said prayers & sang together, an amazing example that people can put their differences aside. This is only one of many stories of how people really are coming together, where people from all walks of life are demanding change, demanding that their deaths are not in vain. People that would not normally stand together are working together in harmony.
I seriously believe the extremeness of all of this is serving to ensure we get up & be counted, that we insist on change, that we help to make that change. We can choose to change ourselves, then the world as a whole, one day at a time. It is a time of extensive self-healing, we have to at first heal ourselves so that we can be the light that we were put on this earth to be.
All of us can, & must, work towards healing the world, creating peace & becoming one. The Dalai Lama made a great speech this week on this very topic, click here for the details. He states "New mechanisms for dialogue need to be created" & "We are global citizens of a shared planet." We can change the world one day at a time... we must believe we can & we will #WeStandTogether #LoveWins
There has been some serious shifts & there is currently more spiritual, positive, mindful people in the world than there has ever been, we just need more! We have the Strawberry Full Moon energies in the pot too, triggering change, evolution & growth. It is on Monday 20th June, the same day as Summer Solstice. Solstice derives from the Latin word 'solstitium' meaning 'sun standing still' or 'sunturn' as the sun 'stands still' at the point on the horizon where it appears to rise & set, before moving in the reverse direction. Let us help people revise their direction onto a path of positive growth & adjustment.
